So I Bought This Wig...

Let me just say that first of all, I've never worn a track or wig in my life. But as Winter hit and it started getting colder and with my hair being natural I started thinking of:

"OMG, split ends, brittle, dry and breakage city here I come."

Winter last year was really bad on my hair, really bad. People say "wear a hat!" But that's not always the fix to the problem. I have a hat, it doesn't completely fit all my hair so I hate wearing it but I do have one, also it's not best for retaining MOISTURE and keeping your hair from breaking when it's -10 out (Gotta love Chicago).

So this year I figure not only am I mixing my own Hair moisturizing products together for moisture and also for hair growth and health but why not just get into Wigs.
Wigs popped in my head for two Reason, 1 because of the weather and 2 because I like to dye my hair, and wear different styles. When I get bored the first thing I do is mess with my hair, especially since I have a lot of it so it's an excuse. I spend so much money on hair products alone you'd think I was in Cosmetology instead of Computer Science. I usually dye my hair between Black and a Red Brown/Brown Red/Burgundy. Though this time I wanted to go dare I say BOLDER. I love the color "Honey Blonde" but never knew how it would look on ME. I didn't want to Permanently dye my hair something I wouldn't like so I made a smart move and bought a Natural wig instead that mimic how I style my hair and in the color I wanted to dye it.

This is how it looks in the back, this was taken fresh out of the box so I did not brush it out to make it fluffy or anything, that's how it already was.

And this is how it looks in the front, along with my hair Briefly picked out, not blow dried so that's not as big as my Afro can get. Yes I am aware even from the front view it seems like a lot of hair on my head... because it is.

The Wig is called "Drew" it is from the Beshe Collection, it is a Lace Front Synthetic Wig. I Purchased it at Luxurious Hair Boutique website. It was on sale for $25.00, the color on the site is F27/30 which is Honey Blonde/Golden Blonde but it's more so Honey Blonde.

I trimmed the Lace in the front and plucked hairs out of it to Mimic my own hairline because the standard lace front hairline with just the "perfect" line from ear to ear looks beyond phony.

I did not add any "Baby hairs" to help make the look natural because that's not how I wear my hair anyway seeing as I am Natural for the most part (I am guilty of dyeing my hair). Instead I just used Foundation around the front of the lace to help blend in towards my skin tone and kept the hair down on the sides.
Will say that because of my hairline, my hair shows on the side of the wig if I were to pull the wig back into like a ponytail so I keep the sides down and put the top up to help with the look. Regardless of how I position the wig it's just my hairline.
